Collect Bail Bond calls come from the jails at all times of day and night, but mostly in the middle of the night. So, off I go to talk to the person who has been taken into custody and perform the necessary paperwork to get them released.
I’m sure you may have heard the saying; one important thing leads to another. Inside the Bail Bonds Las Vegas, it’s a common theme and listed below are three examples, although I could blog about dozens. I’ll keep it simplistic.
The common scenario is the fact that person arrested was pulled over for not arriving at a total stop with a red signal before turning, or conducting a rolling stop. A rolling stop, or what some call; a California stop, is the driver slowing and after that proceeding. Put simply, running the stop sign.
The problem erupts when they’re stopped. Rolling along the window, the officer gets a whiff of alcohol through the driver. What follows is actually a sobriety test, a search in the vehicle, and if there are other occupants, license verification and determination in the event the passengers have been consuming alcohol. The motorist must have arrived at a complete stop.
This story pops inside my head as I write this. Inside the late 80s, I was out at a restaurant/bar with two friends. We left and was stopped for erratic lane changing. I was not the motorist. I used to be a passenger. One officer position the driver in the police car and drove off. The other officer asked whenever we have been drinking and we both said, “yes, we had consumed alcohol beverages on the restaurant/bar.” The result was the passenger officer driving our friend’s car and driving us towards the police station. We got out when bwystj arrived and considered that we could drive our friend’s car and go home. Not so. The officer had us get out, he locked the car and said, “good night.” I said, “How are we to obtain home?” His reply, “Both of you are big boys, you’ll figure it all out.” It had been an extended walk.
Another sad ending occurs when the operator gets stopped and drugs are found. To add to this example, you should learn this little twist. The homeowner of the car was too intoxicated to operate. So, a pal claimed that he would drive. Remember that it was not his car, he was just doing his friend a big favor by driving. Well, the substitute driver rolls a stop sign, in a hurry to obtain home and end the evening. The lights flash, the motorist pulls over, as well as the officer does an inspection. Bingo! Illegal drugs inside the trunk. The operator was arrested. Yes, it wasn’t his car, but because he was driving the responsibility for its contents were on his shoulders. Reconsider volunteering to drive a friend’s car.
This example is really a reality check in regards to what an officer’s perception may be. We know the create. The officer wants to inspect the automobile and says, “Pop the trunk.” Surprise! Within the trunk, the locked trunk, is actually a baseball bat. However, there is no baseball glove, no baseballs, no ball cap, no bases, hardly anything else baseball related. Busted for having a concealed weapon. A footnote to this example would be those miniature baseball bats that you simply buy as being a souvenir along with your favorite team’s logo onto it. If it’s late into the evening, chances are good that you are currently not on the way home coming from a ballgame. Be careful. The sign is red plus it says, “STOP!” Just do that, stop. Your pals might not think it is cool, but getting pulled over and obtaining arrested is much less cool.
